It's time to blog again! As usual I've changed my Linux distro to Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty Fawn release). This time I'll try to stick [seriously!!!] with it.
Feisty has so many great features! The first I've noticed was the easy codec installation. Just open any media file. If the codec is present on your computer, great. If not, Ubuntu will suggest you to download missing packages [Gstreamer ones, for example].
Restricted Drivers Manager detects those drivers that cannot be supported. In my case, just the ATI graphics card is restricted [Figure 1].
Then I just found how easy is to install applications through the Add/Remove Applications utility [Figure 2].
I still need to install Beryl plus Xgl, maybe reading the tutorial found on Beryl Project site. At least I've just installed gtk-recordMyDesktop, which means that sooner I'll be making some screencasts! =D
